Terms and Conditions
This Agreement, encompassing these terms of services, and the accepted quotation or estimate, establishes the legally binding relationship between you and Click Plus Clean ("Click + Clean"). Your acknowledgment of having read and agreeing to abide by the Agreement, along with compliance with all relevant laws concerning the services you acquire from Click Plus Clean, is presumed.
Upon scheduling a one-time or recurring service with Click Plus Clean, you affirm that you possess the legal authority to bind yourself or the represented party to this Agreement, subject to the ensuing terms and conditions.
SECURITY ALARMS
Click Plus Clean is not liable for any fees incurred from local emergency services due to an activated alarm that we are unable to deactivate.
CLEANING‐DAY HOME PREPARATION
We kindly request that you take a few minutes the night before a scheduled service to tidy up. This ensures easy access for cleaners to areas necessary.
CLEANING SUPPLIES
Our cleaners come equipped with all necessary tools and products for a comprehensive basic home cleaning. Should you opt to provide your own cleaning products or solvents, we disclaim responsibility for any refills or associated damage with those specific products or solvents. The office must know ahead of time so the proper MSDS sheets may be provided to the tech for safety reasons. For a list of our cleaning products, please contact us.
Please note that we will not assume responsibility for any damage caused by the use of products you’ve provided.
HUMAN BIOHAZARD
Our technicians do not touch human biohazards and bodily fluids.
CLEANING BEHIND/UNDER FURNITURE/APPLIANCES
For areas behind appliances such as a refrigerator, oven, or large sofa to be cleaned, kindly relocate them before the scheduled cleaning to ensure access to the intended space.
SAFE WORKING CONDITIONS
In situations where an employee perceives a threat to their personal safety, such as the presence of an intoxicated individual or an unrestrained aggressive animal, if the cleaner decides to leave the job site, the client remains responsible for the entire cost of the job.
SATISFACTION GUARANTEE
Should you find dissatisfaction with the quality of services in any agreed-upon area, contact our office within 24 hours post-service completion. We'll promptly return to re-clean the specified area at no additional cost. Cleaners should have access within 2 business days for the re-cleaning, and no further re-performance is provided until your next scheduled appointment with Click Clean.
INSECTS
The presence of insects, such as ants, termites, roaches, fleas, etc., can pose a challenge and may beyond our scope, therefore, hindering our technician from thoroughly cleaning your home. If an infestation is identified, we will refrain from cleaning or vacuuming the affected area.
DUSTING
Our cleaners take pride in effectively dusting your home, employing tools and techniques to minimize dust efficiently:
Small Items: Knick-knacks, collectibles, stand-up picture frames, and similar items are hand-dusted based on size and quantity. For shelves with 10 or fewer small items, we hand dust them along with the surface below, returning items to their place. If there are more than 10 items per shelf, we may dust them where they sit, along with the surrounding surface.
Airborne Dust: During the dusting process, some dust becomes airborne and may not settle until after we've completed our service. This is more common in initial cleanings, and it might take several visits to minimize settling dust.
Height Limits: We cannot dust items on shelves or walls higher than a cleaner can reach standing on a 3-step stepladder. While we may be able to use extension poles for high dusting in rooms, we avoid high dusting items that may tip over or are wall-hung, as we cannot secure them with one hand while dusting.
PETS
Our cleaning staff is not authorized to handle or remove pet feces, including emptying litter boxes. Wet kitty litter cannot be vacuumed.
We cannot assume responsibility for pets that may "escape" during our cleaners' entry or exit from your home. If your pet will be freely moving around during the cleaning, kindly inform us in advance so our cleaners can exercise caution when opening doors. While our cleaners are trained to promptly close doors upon entry and exit, any responsibility for your pet's escape during cleaning rests with you, and Click Plus Clean disclaims any associated liability.
MINIMUM SERVICE TIME
Minimum duration of 2 hours per cleaning visit applies for all cleaning services.
TRAVEL TIME
If you are located outside of Lethbridge, you must book extra time for travel for Services using the “Travel” service item upon booking. Failure to do so will result in your service being cancelled. The time you make your booking for is the time the tech will begin heading to the property, not the time they will arrive at it.
SHOWERS AND TUBS
Showers and tubs can gather lime, calcium, and soap scum over time. While our cleaning solutions effectively cut through these deposits, it might take two to three visits before showers and tubs are completely free of these accumulations. Mold and mildew, being organic, can penetrate deep into and behind grout or caulk. While our cleaning products will reduce surface stains, complete elimination may necessitate the homeowner to consider re-grouting or re-caulking their shower.
DAMAGE OR BREAKAGE
While our cleaners exercise reasonable care and caution, accidents happen. Please acknowledge that we are not responsible for the following:
1. Carpet and rug snags caused by vacuum roller brushes.
2. Damage to blinds and window coverings during standard cleaning.
3. Displacement of insecure art, decorations, fixtures, mirrors, etc. during cleaning.
4. Loss or damage to artwork, collectibles, family heirlooms, and valuables.
5. Any damage to your vacuum or other equipment provided by you.
Regarding items valued at $75 or more, notify us to avoid cleaning or moving them, limiting potential damage. Our liability for damage to or loss of such items is capped at $75.
PAYMENT FOR SERVICES RENDERED
Payment is required upon completion of our services. Due to the personalized and subjective nature of cleaning, refunds are not available. If you are dissatisfied, we will gladly return to re-clean specific areas at no additional cost (refer to the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee section above).
SCHEDULED “ARRIVAL TIME”
When scheduling your service, we offer an approximate arrival time for your cleaning team. Morning appointments are punctual, while later slots may vary by one hour before or after the scheduled time due to unforeseen factors (traffic, weather, extended cleaning at a prior location, etc.). Should we encounter delays in gaining access to the home or initiating the cleaning process, regular charges will apply for the waiting time.
When adding travel to a clean outside of Lethbridge, the time booked will be the time the cleaner begins heading to the property NOT the time they will arrive.
ACCESS TO YOUR HOME
Many clients provide us with a key code for entry or location of a hidden spare key, ensuring our team's access on cleaning day and minimizing the risk of lockouts. Gates, keys, and alarm codes are treated with discretion and privacy in mind.
While we don't recommend leaving doors unlocked or keys hidden, if preferred, such instructions can be noted in the customer profile. However, if the door is not unlocked or entry is not provided, and our cleaning staff cannot access your home, a "lock-out fee" equivalent to half of the estimated cleaning price may be charged to cover our employees' time.
SCHEDULING ADJUSTMENTS
An email and text notification will be sent 24 hours prior to your cleaning, but actual arrival times may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. If you require a specific arrival time, please inform the office at least 48 hours in advance for proper scheduling.
To maintain a reliable team, our employees depend on a consistent workload. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 2 business days' notice, allowing us to find alternative assignments for them. Last-minute changes make it challenging to secure work for our cleaners, potentially causing financial strain and higher turnover rates, impacting our ability to deliver high-quality cleaning services.
For rescheduling or cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice, a $50 fee applies. If service is canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, the full cleaning amount will be charged.
WORK COMPLETED
Cleaning list provided by clients cannot be guaranteed to be completed during each visit. Techs will accomplish what they can in the time they have been booked for. If they have extra time once reaching the end of the prioritized list you’ve provided upon booking, they will check their work then find extra cleaning tasks to complete until the time has been used. If a technician is unable to complete all the tasks they’ve been provided, client is expected to book more time for client’s next Service or consider booking with another tech. Our techs work at different places and have unique strengths and weaknesses—what one tech may be able to complete in three hours, another may not.
When you find a good match for your needs, consider showing the technician responsible some appreciation with a small tip and rebooking with them in the future.
QUALITY CONTROL/INSPECTIONS:
INSPECTIONS
Click Plus Clean conducts random inspections and audits on our cleaning teams. While our cleaning staff is in your home, our supervisory team performs inspections in person, sometimes a check in vía video chat, or through before and through before and after photos. These photos are kept secure for the privacy of our clients.
These images serve for training, as evidence of our work performance, and to showcase our commitment to high-quality standards. If you prefer no photos taken in your home, please inform Click Plus Clean.
NON‐SOLICITATION OF CLICK PLUS CLEAN EMPLOYEES
You, or the party you represent, acknowledge that during each scheduled cleaning, and for one year after the last scheduled cleaning, you are prohibited from directly or indirectly approaching or soliciting Click Plus Clean staff members for services similar to ours. Our cleaners sign a non-compete agreement, restricting them from working independently for our clients. Avoid placing them in an uncomfortable situation by requesting independent work. If you wish to hire a specific staff member directly, kindly address this with the owner of Click Plus Clean.
MISCELLANEOUS DISCLAIMERS
- Click Plus Clean does not assure the removal of stains like rust or mildew resulting from hard water buildup or insufficient maintenance.
- We are not liable for damage due to faulty or improperly installed items.
- Responsibility for harm caused to animals or people due to our cleaning supplies lies with the client; we can use provided supplies, if necessary. For a list of our supplies, please contact us.
- Clients are responsible for informing Click Plus Clean of any specific care requirements during cleaning.
- Surfaces such as marble, granite, and hardwood floors are assumed to be sealed and ready for cleaning without causing harm.
- Furniture is assumed to have proper protection.
- Important items should be put away during cleanings to prevent accidents.
- Payment is due upon booking service.
NOTICE
- We clean only items reachable with a 3-step ladder.
- No other tasks beyond cleaning will be performed during our cleaning for safety and insurance reasons.
- Conducting other work in the house while our teams are cleaning might the amount of cleaning able to be completed.
- Furniture will not be moved.
INDEMNITY AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
You agree to protect, indemnify, and absolve Click Plus Clean, its subsidiaries, affiliates, and their past and present directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, and representatives (the "Indemnitees") from any claims, demands, actions, and associated costs arising directly or indirectly from your actions or omissions, or those under your legal control or responsibility, in connection with the Services.
However, Click Plus Clean's overall liability for matters outlined in the Agreement, or any other loss, damage, or injury related to the Agreement, is capped at the lesser of:
(i) funds recovered under the relevant insurance maintained by Click Plus Clean;
(ii) the fees billed to you by Click Plus Clean for the specific Services leading to such liability.
Both parties are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of business opportunity, revenue, profit, procurement costs for substitute products or services, or any acts or omissions by each other or third parties.
PRIVACY STATEMENT
Click Plus Clean is dedicated to safeguarding customer privacy. We assure you that your personally identifiable information will not be sold, exchanged, or distributed to external parties.
GENERAL TERMS
Click Plus Clean reserves the right to modify this Agreement at its discretion, without prior notice. You agree to periodically review the Agreement to stay informed of any changes, and your continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of these modifications.
If any term or condition of the Agreement is deemed void or unenforceable, it will be severed, while all other provisions will remain in effect. The Agreement's interpretation, disputes, and your legal relationship with Click Plus Clean will be governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, along with applicable federal laws of Canada, irrespective of conflict of laws principles.
These Terms of Services, combined with the accepted fee for Service, constitute the entire agreement between the parties, superseding any prior agreements. No representation, inducement, promise, or agreement not explicitly stated in this Agreement holds any force. Terms and conditions on a purchase order issued by you are void, don't override, or form a part of this Agreement.
